Decorating, lighting contest winners announced

By Reflections of Old Shepard Place HOA PLANO — We are pleased to announce our 1st Annual Home Holiday Decorating results. This was a partnership between the Reflections of Old Shepard Place neighbors and the Homeowners Association. The HOA awarded a $50 prize to the first place winner. Thanks to all who participated.

Best Holiday Decorations

First: Bettie Scott, 4605 Yorkshire Trl

Second: Marcus and Tina Orlowski, 1516 Bayberry Court

Third: Jim and Bernadette Olson, 4616 Brook Meadow

Ted and Heather Lindsley of 1504 Bayberry Court conceded their first-place win because Ted serves as head of the Social Committee on the HOA Board of Directors. His motive was to lead by example, and he is delighted with the festive results we achieved.

From Bettie Scott after recognizing her win: Please give credit to my grandson Ross Texada and his Dad. Ross loves decorating for Christmas, almost every surface of the house has a Christmas sentiment. When Ross asked if he could decorate, I told him he would have to promise to decorate next year or the neighbors would be wondering what happened.
