Hello, neighbors!
We wanted to send out a quick heads-up about the chilly weather moving into our area. Currently, it’s 43°F (6°C) and cloudy. While we’ll see some sunshine this afternoon with a high around 45°F (7°C), things are expected to get much colder tonight. Temperatures will drop to a low of 23°F (-5°C)—well below freezing.
🌱 Protect Your Plants & Outdoor Pipes
With freezing temperatures in the forecast, here are a few quick tips to help protect your home and garden:
Cover Outdoor Plants: Use sheets, blankets, or specialized plant covers to protect sensitive plants. Don’t forget to secure the covers to keep them from blowing away.
Disconnect and Drain Outdoor Hoses: This will help prevent your hoses and faucets from freezing and cracking.
Drip Indoor Faucets: If you have pipes near exterior walls, leave them dripping slightly to avoid freezing.
Check on Pets: If you have outdoor pets, make sure they have a warm, sheltered place to stay—or bring them indoors.
