Happy New Year! The Board of Directors asks all of our neighbors to support Reflections of Old Shepard Place (ROSP) and your community by paying your annual dues promptly (see how in the comment below) and volunteering in a way that works for you.- *Ted Lindsley, President
Services your volunteer HOA provides to you and how our annual dues are used:
o Neighborhood Beautification takes up a large portion of the annual funds and is chaired by the wonderful Anna Jaksic. Where do all the leaves in the alley go? The voluntary HOA arranges for alley weed and leaf clean-up six times a year. Our HOA dues fund mowing and fertilization, irrigation, landscape, and seasonal color on Queen Victoria and Parliament, tree trimming along Old Shepard Place, and Yard of the Month selection to Calloway's Nursery for a $25 gift card managed by volunteer Misty Urech. *Jason Gomes supervises the sprinkler system function.
o Neighborhood directory (attached). The Service provider list is exclusive to paying members.
o Social Media: Reflections of old Shepard Place www.rosphoa.com website and digital media fees
o Welcome Committee: Packets and welcome gifts. Contact *Denise Carrera to set up a brief welcome.
o Neighborhood Communication: via emails, blogs, Facebook, and the www.rosphoa.com website
o Social: Individuals, with some proceeds from the HOA, primarily fund the fun social activities we host each year. We want to build a community with adult events like picnics. Members attend monthly women's and couples' book clubs. This year, we welcome *Jessie Kupstin to chair children's events! She is looking for volunteers to help in 2024.
o Holiday decorations: did you ever wonder who puts them up?
o Architectural Committee: Chaired by *Michael Kan, it preserves our neighborhood standards as needed.
· 2024 Goals:
o Maintain a first-class neighborhood in Plano; building community is a priority.
o Maintain the services and events listed above.
o Welcome new neighbors.
o Fund newsletters and social media communication and events
o Involve more volunteers:
Volunteer your time and skills today to serve our community. Volunteering facilitates social connectivity and integration in the neighborhood.
Do you know how you can get involved? Many of us have served for over ten years and need help and representation from younger families. Don't hesitate to contact *Cathy Phillips for more information if you are curious about volunteering and sharing your superpowers with us. Volunteer opportunities are listed on www.ROSPHOA.com.
